Neiman Marcus Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box cake mix (any flavor)
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 2 large eggs. Mix well until smooth.
3. Stir in the chopped nuts and spread the batter evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 large egg until smooth and creamy.
5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter in the pan.
6. Using a knife or skewer, swirl the cream cheese mixture into the cake batter to create a marbled effect.
7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
