Garlic Chicken Bowtie Pasta with Cajun Parmesan Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound bowtie pasta
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt to taste
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Add minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and black pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
4. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt to taste.
5. Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
