Steak Diane 🥩🥂
Servings: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:
2 beef tenderloin steaks (about 6-8 oz each)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
¼ cup brandy or cognac
½ cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Steaks:

Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
Cook the Steaks:

Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and transfer them to a plate to rest.
Make the Sauce:

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the Dijon mustard, then add the brandy (or cognac) and carefully ignite it with a long lighter (optional). Let it burn off for a few seconds until the flames subside.
Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly reduced.
Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve:

Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top to warm them through.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as mashed potatoes, asparagus, or a fresh salad.
Tips:
Storage: Leftover Steak Diane can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
Variations: For added flavor, incorporate sliced mushrooms into the sauce while cooking the garlic.
Serving Suggestions: Pair with a nice glass of red wine or the same brandy used in the sauce for a complete dining experience.
Enjoy your Steak Diane—a classic and elegant dish perfect for special occasions or a romantic dinner! 🥩🥂✨❤️
