🥘 Petit Salé aux Lentilles (Salted Pork with Lentils) 🐖🥕
A hearty French classic of salted pork cooked slowly with lentils and vegetables.
Ingredients:
• 300 g salted pork
• 250 g green lentils
• 1 carrot
• 1 onion
• 1 bay leaf
• Fresh thyme
Instructions:
1️⃣ Soak salted pork in water for 1 hour, then rinse.
2️⃣ Rinse lentils and place in a pot with carrot (sliced), onion, bay leaf & thyme.
3️⃣ Add pork, cover with water, bring to boil.
4️⃣ Lower heat, simmer 45–60 minutes until pork and lentils are tender.
5️⃣ Remove pork, slice, and return to pot.
6️⃣ Serve warm with mustard on the side.
