• Clams: 2 lbs (900 g), cleaned
Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
Olive oil: 3 tbsp (45 ml)
• White wine: ½ cup (120 ml)
• Fresh parsley: 2 tbsp (10 g), chopped
• Red chili flakes: ½ tsp (2 g) (optional)
Lemon wedges: For serving
Salt and pepper: To taste

Instructions:
1. Clean the clams: Rinse the clams under cold water and discard any that do not close when tapped.
2. Cook the garlic: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and chili flakes, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Add the clams and wine: Place the clams in the skillet and pour in the white wine. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened. Discard any that remain closed.
4. Finish the dish: Stir in fresh parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Serve: Serve the clams with lemon wedges and crusty bread for dipping.
