Homemade Keto Sliders with Cheesy “Fries”
Ingredients (4 servings)
For the keto slider buns:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 oz cream cheese
1 ½ cups almond flour
2 large eggs
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
For the burger patties:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
For the toppings:
4 slices provolone or cheddar cheese
½ cup caramelized onions (optional, but use sparingly for keto)
Sugar-free pickles or grilled peppers
For the keto cheesy “fries”:
1 medium rutabaga or turnip (low-carb potato substitute), cut into fries
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper
½ cup cooked ground beef (for chili topping)
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup heavy cream
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
1. Make the buns:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Melt mozzarella and cream cheese together in microwave or stovetop.
Mix in almond flour, baking powder, eggs, and garlic powder until dough forms.
Divide into 8 small balls, flatten slightly, and bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
2. Cook the sliders:
Mix ground beef with seasonings.
Form into small patties.
Cook in skillet or grill until done, top with cheese slices.
3. Assemble sliders:
Slice buns in half.
Add burger patty, cheese, caramelized onions, and pickles/peppers.
4. Make the keto cheesy fries:
Toss rutabaga fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes until crispy.
For cheese sauce: Melt butter, add cream, then stir in cheddar until smooth.
Pour over fries, top with ground beef chili.
