Mashed Potatoes with Ground Beef Gravy
Ingredients:
For the mashed potatoes:
4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup milk
Salt to taste
For the beef gravy:
300g ground beef
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups beef broth
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor
Directions:
1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk. Set aside.
2. In a pan, brown the ground beef with chopped onion. Drain excess fat.
3. Sprinkle in flour and stir well to coat the meat.
4. Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring. Let simmer until thickened. Season to taste.
5. Spoon the gravy over a bed of mashed potatoes and enjoy!
