Salmon with Cajun Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
Flip the salmon fillets and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
While the salmon is baking, prepare the Cajun butter sauce. In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in lemon juice and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and spoon the Cajun butter sauce over the top of each fillet. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
