Filet Mignon with Creamy Parmesan Mustard Sauce
Elegant Filet Mignon with a Rich Parmesan Mustard Cream
Ingredients:
4 filet mignon steaks
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Directions:
Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear each side for 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside to rest.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until it thickens.
Return the filet mignon to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let the steaks warm through for an additional 2 minutes.
Serve the filet mignon with the creamy Parmesan mustard sauce drizzled over the top, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.
