A creamy, cheesy, and beefy twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich—loaded with tender steak, caramelized onions, peppers, and gooey cheese, all tossed with pasta in a rich, savory sauce!
🛒 Ingredients:
✔ 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or rigatoni)
✔ 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak), thinly sliced
✔ 1 tbsp olive oil
✔ 1 tbsp butter
✔ 1 small onion, thinly sliced
✔ 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
✔ ½ cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
✔ 2 cloves garlic, minced
✔ ½ tsp salt
✔ ½ tsp black pepper
✔ ½ tsp smoked paprika
✔ ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
Cheesy Sauce:
✔ 1 cup heavy cream (or half & half)
✔ 1 cup beef broth
✔ 1 ½ cups shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
✔ ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (for extra cheesiness)
✔ 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
🔥 Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Steak
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add thinly sliced steak, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
3️⃣ Sauté the Veggies
In the same pan, melt butter and add onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
Cook until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in garlic and Worcestershire sauce, cooking for 1 more minute.
4️⃣ Make the Cheesy Sauce
Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
Reduce heat to low and slowly mix in provolone and cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
If you want a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch + water in a small bowl and stir it into the sauce.
5️⃣ Bring It All Together
Add the cooked pasta and steak back to the skillet, tossing everything together.
Let simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
