Easy Homemade GF Quinoa and Chia Seed Pizza Recipe 🌱😋
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 cup (170g) Cooked Quinoa, cooled
1/4 cup (40g) Chia Seeds
1 cup (240ml) Water
1/4 cup (30g) Tapioca Starch
1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast (opt)
1/2 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Oregano
For Topping:
1/2 cup Pizza Sauce
1 cup Vegan Mozzarella Shreds (opt)
2 cups Mixed Vegetables (peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives etc.)
Directions:
1. Make Crust Batter: Blend quinoa, chia seeds, and water until smooth. Let rest 15 minutes to gel. Stir in tapioca starch, nutritional yeast (if using), salt, and oregano.
2. Pre-Bake Crust: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread batter thinly onto a parchment-lined pizza pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until set and dry.
3. Top Pizza: Remove crust from oven. Spread sauce evenly. Sprinkle with vegan mozzarella (if using). Arrange vegetables over the top.
4. Final Bake: Return pizza to the oven. Bake for another 12-18 minutes, until toppings are cooked and crust is golden and crisp.
5. Serve: Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
