Ingredients:

For the brownie layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the cheesecake layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy and smooth.
Spread 2/3 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
Pour the cheesecake mixture on top and gently spread it evenly.
Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl with a knife.
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the center is set and the edges begin to pull away from the pan.
Cool completely before slicing into squares.
