Supplies Youโ€™ll Need:
(Makes 4โ€“6 sticks of chalk or 1 batch of chalk paint)

Option 1: Traditional Glow-in-the-Dark Chalk Sticks
- 1 cup plaster of Paris
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2โ€“3 tbsp glow-in-the-dark pigment powder (non-toxic, safe for skin contact)
- Silicone moulds (ice cube tray, silicone cupcake mould, or toilet paper rolls lined with wax paper)
- Mixing bowl & spoon
- Optional: food colouring or liquid watercolour (to tint)

Option 2: Glow Chalk Paint (UV Light Needed)
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup tonic water (contains quinine, glows under UV light)
- A few drops of neon/fluorescent paint or food colouring
- Bowl & brush
- UV blacklight flashlight or lamp

Directions:

For Glow-in-the-Dark Chalk Sticks (No UV Required)

1. In a mixing bowl, combine glow powder and plaster of Paris.
2. Stir in warm water slowly and mix until smooth.
3. Add food colouring if using.
4. Pour into silicone moulds or lined paper tube moulds.
5. Tap gently to remove air bubbles.
6. Let sit undisturbed for 12โ€“24 hours to dry completely.
7. Once dry, pop out and let cure an extra day before using.

๐Ÿงผ Clean up with warm water before mixture hardens!

For Glow-in-the-Dark Chalk Paint (UV Blacklight Required)

1. In a bowl, whisk together cornstarch and tonic water.
2. Stir in a few drops of neon/UV-reactive paint.
3. Use immediately to paint sidewalks or paper.
4. Shine a blacklight to watch your artwork glow!
