Indulge in this succulent ribeye steak, seared to perfection and finished with a rich buttery glaze! A classic dinner thatβs sure to impress. π
Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick, about 12 oz each) π₯©
2 tbsp olive oil π«
1 tsp kosher salt π§
1 tsp black pepper πΆοΈ
2 cloves garlic, smashed π§
2 sprigs fresh thyme πΏ
2 tbsp unsalted butter π§
1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped π±
Instructions
Season the Steak: Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to ensure even cooking. β³
Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until smoking hot. Add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (135Β°F/57Β°C). Donβt move them to get a nice crust! π₯
Add Aromatics: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, and thyme to the skillet. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks for 1-2 minutes. The aroma will be heavenly! π§
Rest the Steak: Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for 5 minutes. This keeps the juices locked in for a tender bite. π
Serve: Top each steak with a pat of butter and a sprinkle of parsley. Serve with herb-roasted potatoes, a fresh salad, and warm dinner rolls, as shown in the picture. Enjoy this comforting meal! π½οΈ
