Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and get your two 9-inch round cake pans ready by greasing and lining them with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Then add the sugar, eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix it all until it's smoothβtrust me, it will be worth it!
3. Carefully stir in the boiling water to make that batter nice and thin. Divide it evenly between your prepared pans and pop them in the oven. Bake for 30β35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let those delicious cakes cool completely.
4. While the cakes are cooling, line one of the same cake pans with plastic wrap. Spread that softened chocolate ice cream into the pan and freeze it until solidβabout 2β3 hours should do the trick!
5. Now, letβs make that rich ganache. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Pour that hot cream over the chocolate chips in a bowl, let it sit for 2β3 minutes, then whisk it until smooth and glossy.
6. Time to assemble! Place one of your cake layers on a serving plate. Spread a thin layer of ganache on top, then gently remove the ice cream layer from the pan using the plastic wrap. Place it on top of the cake.
7. Add the second cake layer on top of the ice cream, then pour that luscious ganache over the entire cake, letting it drip down the sides for a stunning effect.
8. Now for the fun part! Sprinkle mini chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, and chopped candy bars over the top. Donβt forget to drizzle some chocolate sauce for that extra special touch!
9. Freeze the cake for at least 1 hour so everything can set perfectly. When youβre ready to serve, slice and enjoy it with a drizzle of extra chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
Enjoy your indulgent creation!
