Homemade is always the best!
You can add your favorite toppings and sauce!
For Pizza dough recipe:
• 2 teaspoon yeast
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 3/4 cup warm water
• 2 cups flour
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
Steps:
In a bowl, combine the active dry yeast, sugar, and warm water. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well and stir together with a spoon until the dough starts to come together.
Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth.
Place the dough in a bowl and cover it with a clean cloth or towel. Let it rise until it doubles in size.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release any air bubbles.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface into my desired thickness.
Transfer the dough to a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Preheat the oven to 425 F and let the dough rest for about 15 minutes.
Add your favorite pizza toppings and bake for 15-17 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Use the bottom rack
For pizza sauce:
Easy Homemade pizza Sauce - Fresh tomatoes
Wash and dice the tomatoes. Peel tomatoes if you want to.
In a pan, add oil, saute garlic until fragrant. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt and oregano. Let it cook till a little soften.
Take out from heat and let it cool for few minutes. Pour in a blender till a little chunks left or creamy. It depends on what consistency you want.
Then ready to pour into your pizza dough. Or store in fridge up to 1 week only. Or freeze it up to 3 months.
