🍑 Peach Cobbler Dump Cake 🍰
Ingredients (Makes 24 servings)
2 (16 oz) cans peaches in heavy syrup
1 (15.25 oz) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by lightly greasing it with non-stick spray or butter.
Add the Peaches:
Open both cans of peaches and drain off any excess liquid if desired (some people prefer to leave the syrup for extra moisture). Empty the peaches (including syrup) directly into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle with Cake Mix:
Evenly spread the dry yellow cake mix over the top of the peaches. Use your hands or the back of a spoon to press it down gently so it adheres well.
Dot with Butter:
Scatter small pieces of butter evenly over the cake mix layer. This will melt during baking and create a rich, buttery crust.
Add Cinnamon (Optional):
For a warm spice note, sprinkle the top with ground cinnamon.
Bake Until Golden:
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crisp.
Cool Slightly Before Serving:
Let the dump cake cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. This allows the layers to set slightly and makes for cleaner portions.
Serve Warm:
Enjoy as-is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra-decadent treat!
