🎄 Spiced Gingerbread Wreath Cake 🌟

Ingredients:
For the Cake:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup molasses
1 cup buttermilk
For the Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
2-3 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Decorations:
Cinnamon sticks, star anise, gingerbread cookies, sugared cranberries, dried orange slices, or pine sprigs (optional)
Directions:
Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a Bundt pan and dust with flour.
Make the Batter:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by molasses.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until smooth.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Prepare Frosting:
Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Decorate:
Pipe frosting onto the cooled cake to resemble a wreath.
Add cinnamon sticks, star anise, gingerbread cookies, or sugared cranberries for a festive touch.
