1 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander

1 large onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garam masala
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, turmeric, cumin, coriander, paprika, garam masala, chili powder, and salt.
Add the chicken pieces and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Cook the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and arrange the pieces on a baking sheet or grill.
Bake or grill the chicken for 15-20 minutes, or until fully cooked and slightly charred. Set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Add the crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, sugar, cumin, paprika, and garam masala. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and simmer for another 10 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through and the sauce is slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with garlic butter naan.
