Cajun Garlic Butter Chicken with Parmesan Fettuccine
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
12 oz fettuccine pasta
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (for bold flavor)
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (for smokiness)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 cloves garlic, minced (for a punch of garlic)
1 cup heavy cream (for creaminess)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for a rich, cheesy texture)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for a pop of color and freshness)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Directions:
Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken strips generously with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes).
Combine the Pasta and Chicken: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Toss to coat, and return the chicken to the skillet, stirring everything together. If you like extra spice, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes.
Garnish and Serve: Top with freshly chopped parsley and more Parmesan for that irresistible, mouthwatering finish. Serve hot and enjoy!
