Ingredients:
- 1 cup vital wheat gluten
- ¼ cup chickpea flour

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- ¾ cup vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Directions:
1. Preheat your steamer or set up a pot with a steaming basket.
2. In a large bowl, mix vital wheat gluten, chickpea flour, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, fennel seeds, and black pepper.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together vegetable broth, tomato paste, soy sauce, and liquid smoke. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and knead until a firm dough forms.
4. Shape the dough into a log and wrap it tightly in foil, twisting the ends securely.
