Caramelized Cabbage in Rich Miso Butter
Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of cabbage, sliced into thick wedges
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon white miso paste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Fresh chopped chives for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, miso paste, and soy sauce until well combined.
3. Brush cabbage wedges with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
4. Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are golden and crispy.
5. Brush the roasted cabbage with the miso butter mixture and return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
6. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh chives before serving.
