Lobster Tails and Seared Scallops in Garlic Butter Elegance 🦞🦐
Ingredients:
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 lobster tails, 6-8 oz each
- 6 large sea scallops
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika, optional for color
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). To prepare the lobster tails, take kitchen shears and carefully cut a slit lengthwise down the top of each tail. Gently pull the meat away from the shell, resting it on top for a stunning presentation.
2. In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika if desired, along with salt and black pepper. Whisk until smooth to create a delectable garlic butter mixture.
3. Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat, ensuring it's thoroughly coated for maximum flavor.
4. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet, then transfer them to the preheated oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the lobster meat becomes opaque and slightly golden.
5. While the lobster bakes, dry the scallops with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and black pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
6. Add the scallops to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, allowing a beautiful golden-brown crust to form.
7. In the last minute of cooking, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter mixture over the scallops to enhance their flavor as they finish cooking.
8. Once the lobster tails are ready and the scallops are perfectly seared, elegantly arrange them on a serving plate. Drizzle any leftover garlic butter from the pan over the seafood and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges for a zesty kick.
