Garlic Butter Steak Tips with Cheesy Rigatoni 🥩🧀
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lb steak tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Start by cooking the pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the rigatoni and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Once done, drain the pasta and set it aside.
2. Sear the steak tips: While the rigatoni cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak tips with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sear in batches, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Create the garlic butter: In the same skillet where you cooked the steak, reduce the heat to medium and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
4. Make the creamy sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and add the Italian seasoning to the skillet. Stir continuously and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually add the grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
5. Toss everything together: Add the drained rigatoni to the skillet, making sure to coat the pasta thoroughly with the creamy sauce. Return the sautéed steak tips to the skillet and drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of butter. Gently toss until everything is well combined.
6. Serve and garnish: Plate the cheesy rigatoni and steak tips, then finish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley to add a pop of color and fresh flavor.
