Steak in Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce - A Luxurious Surf and Turf Experience
Recipe
Ingredients:
2 steaks (200g each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Chopped parsley, for garnish
Directions:
Season steaks with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and sear the steaks to your preferred doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks and set aside.
In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, sauté onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
Toss in the shrimp and sprinkle with the remaining Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp are pink and fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes.
Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens.
Place the steaks back into the skillet, spooning the creamy shrimp sauce over them to warm everything together.
Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
