📋 Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar plus additional for rolling
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
📝 Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, powdered sugar, butter, and vegetable oil until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
5. Roll the dough into small balls and roll them in additional granulated sugar.
6. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flatten slightly.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
