APOSTLE'S RING BREAD πŸ₯–
Anyone can make this homemade bread! 😍

Apostle's ring bread is a Maltese traditional bread specifically made during the lent period. It is a delicious soft bread with a crunchy crust covered with sesame seeds and 12 whole almonds which represent the twelve Apostle's.
It's delicious just spread with butter or finished off with ham and cheese!

Recipe:
Serves 1 Large Ring Bread
Ingredients πŸ›’
360g/12.7oz Bread Plain Flour 0
1Β½ Tsp Salt
60ml Milk (room temperature)
180ml Warm Water
15g/0.52oz Instant Yeast
2 Tsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
12 Whole Almonds
Sesame Seeds

Method:
In a mixer’s bowl add the flour, yeast and sugar and mix together then add the salt and stir again. Add milk, warm water and olive oil. Mix with the dough hook for 5 minutes until smooth.
Cover the bowl with clingfilm and a cloth and leave to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.
Line a large round baking tray with parchment paper. Set aside.
Roll the dough into a log of about 80cm. Form the ring by joining both ends together and place on the baking tray. Brush the ring with extra milk, top with whole almonds and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Leave to rise again for 30 minutes.
Bake the bread for 30-40 minutes until it has a nice golden brown colour.
