Grilled Steak Medallions with Herb-Infused Compound Butter
Ingredients:
4 steak medallions (filet mignon, sirloin, or your choice)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
For Compound Butter:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tsp lemon zest
Salt to taste
For BBQ Rub:
2 tbsp honey garlic seasoning
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the Compound Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary, lemon zest, and salt.
Shape the butter into a log using plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm.
Prepare the BBQ Rub:
In a small bowl, combine honey garlic seasoning, brown sugar, smoked paprika, onion powder, and black pepper.
Mix well.
Season the Steaks:
Pat the steak medallions dry with paper towels.
Rub olive oil on both sides of the steaks, then generously apply the BBQ rub, ensuring an even coating.
Grill the Steaks:
Preheat your grill to high heat.
Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust the time for desired doneness).
Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
Finish with Compound Butter:
Slice the chilled compound butter into medallions and place a piece on top of each steak while still hot, allowing it to melt and create a glossy, flavorful finish.
Serve:
Arrange the steaks on a metal tray. Serve immediately with your favorite sides and enjoy!
