🍫 Triple Chocolate Cake with Hot Fudge Sauce 🍨
Super moist layers, fudgy filling, and glossy ganache topping
🧾 Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup hot coffee (or hot water for milder flavor)
For the Chocolate Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ¼ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
5 cups powdered sugar
½ cup whole milk (adjust for consistency)
2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
For the Hot Fudge Sauce:
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup corn syrup
¾ cup dark chocolate chips
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
👩🏽🍳 Instructions:
Step 1: Bake the Cake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Beat until combined.
Gradually add hot coffee and mix until smooth (batter will be thin).
Pour into pans and bake 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
Step 2: Make the Frosting
Cream butter until smooth.
Add cocoa, powdered sugar, and salt. Mix while slowly adding milk.
Beat in vanilla until fluffy and spreadable.
Step 3: Hot Fudge Sauce
Combine cream, corn syrup, cocoa, sugar, and chocolate chips in a saucepan.
Bring to a low boil while whisking until smooth and glossy.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let cool slightly.
Step 4: Assemble and Serve
Layer cake with chocolate frosting in between.
Cover entire cake with frosting and chill 20 minutes.
Warm the fudge sauce and pour generously over the cake slice.
Serve with vanilla ice cream and more hot fudge 😏
