Sloppy Joe Tater Tot Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1–2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1½ cups shredded Colby Jack cheese
- 30 oz bag Crispy Crowns or tater tots
- Dried parsley for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
3. Add salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir to combine.
4. Pour in Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce. Mix well and simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
5. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the Sloppy Joe mixture evenly on the bottom.
6. Layer the tater tots evenly over the meat mixture.
7. Sprinkle shredded Colby Jack cheese over the tater tots.
8. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Garnish with dried parsley before serving.
