Loaded Cowboy BBQ Tater Tot Nachos 🌶️
🛒 Ingredients:
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
1 lb (450g) ground beef or shredded BBQ beef
½ cup BBQ sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup crumbled cooked bacon
1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
¼ cup sour cream (for serving)
¼ cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
Fresh cilantro (optional for garnish)
👩🍳 Directions:
Cook the Tater Tots:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Prepare the Meat:
While the tots are baking, cook the ground beef (or heat up shredded BBQ beef) in a skillet over medium heat. Add BBQ sauce and stir until well combined and heated through.
Assemble the Nachos:
Once the tater tots are done, layer them on a serving platter. Spoon the BBQ beef mixture over the tots, then top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Bake Again:
Return to the oven for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Add Toppings & Serve:
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with bacon, jalapeños, red onion, and green onions. Serve with sour cream and cilantro for the finishing touch
