Keto Cheese Buns
Ingredients:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 ounces cream cheese
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups almond flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried herbs Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the cheeses are melted and well combined.
Be careful not to overheat the cheese.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Add the eggs to the melted cheese mixture and mix until smooth.
In another bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the cheese and egg mixture until a dough forms. You may need to use your hands to thoroughly incorporate the ingredients.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.
Roll each portion into a ball and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
If desired, sprinkle the tops of the buns with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or dried herbs for added flavor and texture.
Bake the buns in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
Remove the buns from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
