Cajun Sausage and Garlic Butter Pasta
Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Reduce heat to medium, then add butter and heavy cream. Stir well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Stir in cherry tomatoes and parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve warm and enjoy!
