Would You Eat This Beef Lo Mein🍜
Ingredients:
200g (7 oz) lo mein or egg noodles
250g (9 oz) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating beef)
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup julienned carrots
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 green onions, chopped
For the sauce:
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup water
Directions:
1. Marinate the beef: Toss sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes.
2. Cook noodles: Boil according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
3. Prepare sauce: In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until well combined.
4. Stir-fry beef: Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
5. Cook vegetables: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Stir-fry garlic, broccoli, and carrots for 2-3 minutes.
6. Combine everything: Add noodles, beef, green onions, and sauce. Toss well over medium heat for 2 minutes until everything is coated and hot.
