Creamy Marry Me Chicken Tortellini Pasta
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb chicken breasts, sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini, cooked
Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook the chicken until golden and tender, about 6–8 minutes. Transfer it to a plate and keep warm.
To the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and stir well. Let the mixture come to a gentle simmer, giving it a few minutes to build flavor.
Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and stir until it’s completely melted and the sauce turns rich and creamy. Taste the sauce and adjust with more salt or pepper if needed.
Fold in the cooked tortellini, making sure each piece is coated in that velvety sauce.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir gently to combine everything, letting it all heat through for another minute or two.
Just before serving, scatter chopped fresh basil over the top for a fragrant finish. Serve hot and watch hearts melt at the table.
