Ingredients:
• All-purpose flour: 2 cups (250 g)
• Warm water: ¾ cup (180 ml)
• Lard or olive oil: 2 tbsp (30 g)
• Salt: ½ tsp (3 g)
• Baking powder: 1 tsp (4 g)
• Vegetable oil: For frying
• Prosciutto, salami, and cheese: For serving
Instructions:
1. Make the dough: In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add warm water and lard (or olive oil), kneading until a soft dough forms. Let rest for 30 minutes.
2. Roll and cut: Roll the dough out thinly and cut into small rectangles or squares.
3. Fry the dough: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the dough pieces until golden and puffed, about 1-2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
