Ultimate Stacked Cheeseburger
This colossal cheeseburger is a true showstopper, loaded with layers of juicy beef patties and melted cheese. Perfect for those who want a serious burger experience!
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef (80% lean/20% fat for juicy patties)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
8 slices cheddar or American cheese
4 large hamburger buns (or 2 if stacking all patties in one)
Optional: Lettuce, pickles, sliced onions, tomato slices, and your favorite sauces (ketchup, mustard, mayo)
Instructions:
Form the Patties: Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and form into thin patties. Press down each patty so they are wider than the buns, as they will shrink when cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. When hot, cook each patty for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they develop a nice crust. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, letting it melt.
Stack the Patties: If you want an epic single burger, stack 4 cheesy patties on one bottom bun, then top with another bun to finish. Repeat for the second burger. If you prefer smaller double cheeseburgers, stack 2 cheesy patties on each bottom bun.
Assemble with Toppings: Add optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and any sauces you like.
Serve: This burger is best served fresh while the cheese is gooey and the patties are hot.
Tips:
For a classic diner taste, toast the buns with a little butter on the skillet.
You can mix a little Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef for extra flavor.
Enjoy this indulgent burger experience!
