Snickerdoodle Banana Bread
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
For the Topping:
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas with melted butter. Stir in the vanilla extract and egg until smooth.
Add Sugars and Dry Ingredients: Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, and cinnamon. Stir until well combined.
Add Flour: Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
Add to Pan: Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
