Surf & Turf Shrimp Cheeseburger with Spicy Loaded Fries
Ingredients:
For the Burger Patties:
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
For the Shrimp:
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder
Pinch of salt
For Assembly:
4 sesame or brioche hamburger buns
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
4 large lettuce leaves
Butter for toasting buns
Optional: mayonnaise or aioli for spread
For the Spicy Loaded Fries:
1 lb frozen or fresh-cut fries
1/4 cup spicy mayo or sriracha aioli
1 tbsp chopped parsley or chives
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Make the Patties:
Mix beef with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Form into 4 patties. Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side. Add cheddar slices during the last minute of cooking.
Cook the Shrimp:
Toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt. Grill or sauté over medium-high heat for 2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
Toast the Buns:
Butter the buns and toast cut-side down in a skillet or on the grill until golden.
Assemble the Burger:
Spread a thin layer of mayo or aioli on the bottom bun. Add lettuce, burger patty with melted cheese, and top with 3 grilled shrimp. Add the top bun.
Make the Loaded Fries:
Cook fries until golden and crispy. Drizzle with spicy mayo or sriracha aioli, sprinkle with herbs, and season with salt.
Serve:
Plate burger and fries on a clean white plate. Serve hot.
