Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cream Pie🥧🍫
Ingredients:
1 pre-baked pie crust
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
3 cups whole milk
4 large egg yolks
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Whipped cream, for topping
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt.
2. Gradually whisk in milk and egg yolks.
3. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened (about 8–10 min).
4. Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
5. Pour filling into cooled pie crust. Chill for 4+ hours until set.
6. Top with whipped cream before serving.
