Grog, around since the 1700s, created by saliors, but adapted by pirates. The historic drink took a standard ration of rum watered down and mixed with lime to prevent scurvy. Well, Shiver me timbers and pour that spirit into me mug!

PIRATE GROG #InternationalTalklikeaPirate
4 oz dark Caribbean rum
2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg or cinnamon
1/2 lime, squeezed
16 oz water
In a mug or glass, combine brown sugar and spice, add the rum, and lime. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add the water and mix well.
Serve chilled or at room temperature, perhaps with a garnish of a lime wedge.
