Buttery Garlic Seared Scallops
Golden seared scallops in a rich garlic butter sauce with a hint of lemon — elegant, quick, and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb sea scallops
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
3 tbsp butter
2 tsp garlic, minced
Juice of half a lemon (plus extra wedges to serve)
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
Instructions
Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil. Sear scallops 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and just cooked through. Remove to a plate.
Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Squeeze in lemon juice, then return scallops to the pan. Toss with the sauce and sprinkle with parsley.
Serve immediately — great over pasta or with crusty bread.
