Iced Pecan Crunch Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup brewed strong coffee or espresso, cooled
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2-3 tbsp pecan syrup or pecan-flavored syrup (see below for homemade option)
- Ice cubes
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Chopped pecans (for garnish)
- Caramel or chocolate drizzle (optional)
Pecan Syrup (Homemade):
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Combine water and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
2. Add chopped pecans and simmer for about 10 minutes.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract.
4. Strain out pecans, let syrup cool, and store in a jar.
Assembly:
1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Pour in the cooled brewed coffee.
3. Add milk.
4. Stir in pecan syrup.
5. Top with whipped cream and garnish with chopped pecans or a drizzle of caramel/chocolate if desired.
