1 (17.9 oz) box snickerdoodle cookie mix (including the cinnamon-sugar packet)

1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions

Preheat and prep: Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Lightly grease an 11Γ—7-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Prepare the apple layer: In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, orange juice, and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
