Homemade Pizza Sticks
Ingredients:
2 rolls crescent roll dough
8 string cheese sticks
32 slices turkey bacon pepperoni (or any turkey pepperoni)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Pizza sauce, for dipping
Caesar salad, for serving (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
Roll out both crescent roll dough sheets on a clean surface. Press the seams together to create two solid sheets.
Cut the Dough:
Using a pizza cutter, cut each dough sheet into 4 equal rectangles, giving you 8 rectangles in total.
Assemble the Pizza Sticks:
On each rectangle of dough, place 4 slices of turkey bacon pepperoni and 1 string cheese stick.
Roll each rectangle up tightly around the fillings, sealing the edges so the cheese doesn’t escape while baking.
Brush with Garlic Butter:
Melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Brush the tops of each rolled dough with the garlic butter mixture.
Add Parmesan:
Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the top of each roll.
Bake:
Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, checking around 10 minutes to avoid over-baking. Bake until golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
Serve:
Let them cool slightly, then serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping. Add a Caesar salad on the side if desired.
