🍗 Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy 🍗
🥄 Ingredients:
For the Steak:

4 cube steaks (about 1/2 inch thick)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil or more as needed
For the Gravy:

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions:
Prepare the Steak

In one shallow bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
Bread the Steaks

Dip each cube steak in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture. Press the coating onto the steak for a nice crust.
Fry the Steaks

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the steaks and fry for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Place steaks on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Make the Gravy

Pour out all but 3 tablespoons of the oil from the skillet, keeping the browned bits in the pan for flavor.
Sprinkle flour into the skillet, whisking constantly until the flour turns a light golden color (about 2-3 minutes).
Gradually add the milk, whisking until smooth. Cook and stir for 4-5 minutes, or until the gravy thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve

Pour the creamy gravy over the crispy fried steaks, and enjoy!
