Do people still have Halloween Parties?
Halloween was such a great time in the 60s and 70s. I have such sweet memories of those times. The whole neighborhood packed with kids running wild in colorful costumes., laughing and playing. Every house was decorated and handing out candy. It was rare to see a dark house back then. Of course, everyone knew everyone then, not just your immediate neighbors, but the whole neighborhood. 🙂
My Dad was know for handing out the "good candy", remember that phrase, a full size candy bar was considered the good candy. He would try to guess who each kid was, hidden under their costume. He was really good at it and each year the neighborhood kids would try to fool him. 🙂
There were Halloween parties at school, churches, and community centers. The older kids, teens, often had Halloween parties at friends houses once they were deemed to old to trick or treat. ❤
