🇮🇹 Semifreddo (Italian Frozen Dessert)
A luxurious, no-churn frozen treat with a creamy mousse-like texture!
Ingredients:
• 2 cups whipped cream
• ½ cup sugar
• 3 egg yolks
• ¼ cup melted chocolate or fruit purée
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a bowl over a pot of simmering water (bain-marie) until thickened.
2. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Stir in vanilla and chocolate or purée.
3. Fold in whipped cream gently until smooth.
4. Pour into a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap.
5. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight until firm.
6. Slice and serve immediately.
