French Onion Beef and Noodles 🧅🥩🍜
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet (1 oz) dry French onion soup mix
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
8 oz egg noodles
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring often, until golden and caramelized.
Add garlic and cook another 30 seconds until fragrant. Push onions to the side and add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
Stir in the French onion soup mix and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
Add uncooked egg noodles right into the skillet. Stir and cover. Cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Stir in sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Mix well until creamy.
If using cheese, sprinkle it over the top and let it melt for 2–3 minutes.
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm!
