- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp lemon juice

for the white chocolate frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup white chocolate, melted
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

1. preheat oven to 350°f (175°c). grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
2. in a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. in a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. stir in vanilla extract.
5. alternately add dry ingredients and milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients. mix until just combined.
